“A light up in the sky” she said
A question here on Earth, if anything
We try and try, recurring dreams
Of handtied individuals off the grid
Just discard the other option, quit the job
Grab them reigns and hold them tight
Against your own
Faith is just a hole you dig inside your soul
Lady’s eyes spoke to my eyes like none before
A myriad colour clothing,
A flashy, sparky surface rolling in
A passing perfect lightning
Shining, strolling, calling for nightly sin
A reason to quit breathing in,
A reason to breath out maturity
Just out of curiosity...
How long has she been walking off the grid?
All the vultures and the thieves hung on her back
Have been draining on those blood lines she now lacks
And keep her walking unsurmounted off the charts
Lady’s lies will fool no one but herself
Lady’s pleasures turn to lessons in her face but
Lady’s books are getting stuck upon the shelf
She asks for everything you lost
She asks without expecting a reply
The books and clocks I learnt upon
Are now the family jewels meant to survive
On the surface of the rock is where we crawl
With our children waiting for their time to grow
Like the seeds in our hands waiting to be sown
Lady’s hand tries reaching out noe that I’m gone
Lady’s voice still speaks to me beyond the phone
But all this time we always knew we were but ghosts...
