lyrics

The wait

A waterfall frozen in mid-air,
fishes travel beneath my skin,
drawing circles, leading nowhere

A broke-down car on the highway,
a thirst for some precious gasoline,
a burst of grass on stone landscape

An ironic pain in my empty chest
A stupid loss in the safest bet
A sarcastic laughter on anxiety
Even when you know bells won’t ring for me
I’m not working on it, and I won’t indeed!

I got chills on my toenails
Been dodging curveballs all through the week
Timeless, restless and downhill

Pushed and pulled over everything
The storm keeps raging all over me
And I’m showing everyone else my teeth

And i salivate at the very thought
While my trembling hands get all sore and torn
Just a single touch, just a gentle sip
Just a surface scratch, just a hole to peep
I’m not working on it and I never will

I can’t hold it much longer
The question burns and my fingers bleed
I can’t wait till it’s over

A search for wisdom and knowledge
A quest for something I can’t fullfill
With the ordinary

It’s a concrete crown when i raise my head
It’s an empty death on my hunger bed
It’s a flashing light in my vacant place
Lighting what i lack and I’ll fill up someday

I CAN'T STAND THE WAIT!!
